Elliot Fox

Elliot Fox is a British artists work explores themes of language and meaning through painting and sculpture - these different process’ are unified through there ophthalmic qualities. The painting, whilst working within an evolving yet relatively coherent format from work to work, contains repetition of certain iconography in an attempt to replicate language and how we communicate with ourselves and the world around us. In his recent works ‘Sonic Tonic’ and ‘Safe Hands’ the sculptural welded elements of the work interact with the paintings as well as give context. The industrial process’ of the metalwork are paralleled through the use of repetitive mark making current in his paintings and speak true of the conceptual ideas which surround them.
